Multi-Compartment and Raw-Meal Silos

In south-eastern Algeria, a modern cement plant is being constructed. The client is a partnership between the world’s largest building materials manufacturer, LafargeHolcim International Group, headquartered in Switzerland, and the Algerian industrial group Souakri Brothers.

Our planning assignment included the following buildings:

• Multi-chamber silo for cement: diameter 22.00 m, 80.60 m high,
  5 chambers for a total of 25,600 t of cement
• Raw flour silo: diameter 15.00 m, 74.60 m high, for 8000 t of raw flour
• Clinker silo: diameter 60 m, capacity 130,000 t
